The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Ezeokenwa Jr Sly, has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to grassroots mobilization and transformative governance at a historic retreat in Anambra State.
The retreat, organized by the State Executive Committee, brought together local government mayors, ward leaders, and local government party chairpersons. It marked the first gathering of its kind since the current party leadership assumed office, providing a platform for strategic discussions and self-evaluation.
Barrister Ezeokenwa commended the state executives for organizing the event and urged party leaders to remain steadfast in their support for the state government. He emphasized the importance of upholding party rules and guidelines, reiterating that the party remains supreme.
The APGA National Chairman also highlighted the need for robust membership registration ahead of the forthcoming elections. He encouraged party members to register online for their digital membership cards and announced a reward system for wards with the highest registration numbers and voter engagement.
In a show of commitment to expanding the party’s membership base, Barrister Ezeokenwa donated 500 membership forms to each of Anambra State’s 326 wards. This move is seen as a significant step towards strengthening party mobilization at the grassroots level.
The retreat and the National Chairman’s call to action signal a renewed focus on grassroots engagement as APGA prepares for the upcoming elections.
