The Mayor of Onitsha North Local Government Area, Mr. Nweze Tony Nwora, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Hon. Justice Azuka, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly who was kidnapped and murdered in December 2024.

Mayor Nwora, accompanied by his cabinet members and councilors, consoled the grieving family and offered words of comfort. He prayed for the soul of the late lawmaker to rest in eternal peace and asked for divine strength for the bereaved.

The Mayor assured the family that justice will be served and that those responsible for the heinous act will face the full weight of the law. He also signed the condolence register, symbolizing his commitment to supporting the family during this difficult time.

The visit demonstrated the Mayor’s empathy and resolve to uphold law and order in Onitsha North LGA. The administration has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community and to bringing perpetrators of violence to justice.
