The Anambra State Government is set to construct public secondary and primary schools in communities in the state without a presence of such schools.
The Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh made the revelation while speaking on a live flagship programme, Governance Unplugged on Anambra First.
According to her, the state government has identified 72 communities that has no public secondary schools and 32 communities without public primary schools and is set to build the schools before September, 2025.
The Commissioner explained that the vision will be accualized through the state government’s public-private-community partnership, PPCP, developmental model through the donation of land by those communities.
While going further to reveal that some of the affected communities have donated parcels of land to state government for the project and have provided the survey plans for the lands, Prof. Chuma-Udeh called on those who are yet to commence the process to begin immediately as Governor Soludo is committed to fulfill the promise.
