The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has told Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, a frontline aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), that his ambition to unseat Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, is futile.
According to APGA, Soludo’s re-election is guaranteed, and Okonkwo’s boasts of defeating him are mere fantasies.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, the National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, said that Okonkwo lacks the capacity to compete with Soludo, and his inability to win any election in Anambra since he started contesting is evidence of this.
Obigwe stated that Soludo has justified the confidence reposed in him by Anambra electorates, and re-electing him for a second term in office will serve as a reward for the good work he is doing in the state.
He also advised Okonkwo to focus on clinching the APC ticket before challenging Soludo to a public debate, saying that as of today, Okonkwo does not deserve Soludo’s attention for debate.
“The governor is more focused on delivering dividends of good governance to the Anambra people,” Obigwe said.
He insisted that Soludo’s performance in office has endeared him to the people, and his re-election is a done deal.
