The Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Lands, Survey, and Town Planning, led by Deputy Majority Leader Hon. Jude Akpua, has visited the Ministry of Lands, Survey, and Town Planning. The committee’s purpose was to assess the ministry’s activities and progress in urban development and land management.

Commissioner for Lands, Survey, and Town Planning, Prof. Affomze Amucheazi, briefed the lawmakers on the ministry’s current projects, challenges, and achievements. He emphasized the need for transparency, accountability, and efficiency in land resource administration, particularly in urban planning and regulation.

The committee commended the commissioner for his efforts and provided valuable insights into the ministry’s operations. They also offered constructive recommendations to improve land management practices in the state. Additionally, the lawmakers requested documents to enhance their oversight, which is part of their constitutional rights.

The committee members were also taken on a tour of the ministry’s facilities, including the GIS sector, to gain a deeper understanding of its operations.
