The Okpoko General Hospital in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State has been officially commissioned by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, marking a significant milestone in the state’s healthcare sector.
The hospital, which was inaugurated in the presence of top government officials, healthcare professionals, and community leaders, is expected to provide quality healthcare services to residents of Okpoko and surrounding communities.
Governor Soludo, while commissioning the hospital, expressed his commitment to improving healthcare delivery in Anambra State. He noted that the hospital was part of his administration’s efforts to provide accessible and affordable healthcare services to the people.
The governor also highlighted other ongoing healthcare projects in the state, including the renovation and equipping of existing hospitals, as well as the construction of new healthcare facilities.
The Commissioner for Health in Anambra State, Dr. Afam Obidike, commended Governor Soludo for his vision and commitment to healthcare development in the state. He assured that the hospital would be adequately staffed and equipped to provide quality healthcare services to the people.
The Okpoko General Hospital is a 100-bed facility that offers a range of medical services, including emergency care, surgery, maternity care, and outpatient services. The hospital is also equipped with modern medical equipment and facilities, including an MRI machine, ultrasound machines, and a laboratory.
With the commissioning of the Okpoko General Hospital, residents of Okpoko and surrounding communities can now access quality healthcare services closer to their homes.
