The Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Aghamba, has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s 1Youth2Skills initiative, describing it as a game-changer in youth empowerment. Aghamba made the remarks during his inspection tour of Entrepreneurship Development Institutes (EDIs) in Awka, where over 600 beneficiaries are undergoing training.
The commissioner, who visited several training centers, including UNIZIK Business School, Industrial Training Fund, IDK training center, Kachukwu training center, and Anambra Film Village, expressed satisfaction with the progress of the program. He urged the beneficiaries to remain diligent and committed to the program, emphasizing that it is a life-changing opportunity.
According to Aghamba, the 1Youth2Skills initiative is a flagship program of the Soludo administration, aimed at empowering Anambra youths and promoting entrepreneurship in the state. He revealed that over 16,000 youths have benefited from the program, with many more expected to benefit in the coming phases.
Beneficiaries of the program, who spoke to our correspondent, expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo for the opportunity, describing it as a life-changing experience. They praised the governor’s commitment to youth empowerment and promised to make the most of the opportunity.
The 1Youth2Skills initiative is part of Governor Soludo’s efforts to address youth unemployment and promote entrepreneurship in Anambra State. With the program’s success, Anambra is poised to become a hub for young entrepreneurs and innovators.
