The IDE Ichida Empowerment Initiative, spearheaded by High Chief Inno-Posh Chikezie, took a bold step toward grassroots development on April 19, 2025, as it empowered 20 villages across Ichida with motorcycles and extended support to the local healthcare sector.
The well-attended event, held at the Ichida Civic Centre, was anchored by the President General of Ichida, Chief Uche Enechi (Ezeani Ikukuoma Anaocha), and witnessed by the Mayor of Anaocha Local Government, Hon. Romanus Ibekwe, alongside his deputy.
As part of the empowerment effort, representatives from each of the 20 villages participated in a transparent balloting process, which culminated in one winner per village receiving a motorcycle. The gesture, organizers said, is aimed at easing mobility, fostering entrepreneurship, and promoting local economic activity within the benefiting communities.
Beyond mobility support, the initiative also extended a significant donation to Saint Charles Galaxy Hospital, Ichida. The hospital received a laptop and a cheque of one million naira, a move High Chief Inno-Posh said was motivated by the need to strengthen healthcare delivery in the area.
Addressing the crowd, the philanthropist emphasized that this is only the beginning of a broader vision for community empowerment. He assured Ndi Ichida of his continued commitment to improving lives and deepening developmental impact across the town.
The IDE Ichida Empowerment Initiative has been widely praised for its transparency and dedication to grassroots growth, with many describing it as a model for effective community-oriented philanthropy in Anambra State.
