More Commendations Trail Soludo’s Reelection As APGA Candidate.

The reelection of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo as the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for the upcoming 2025 gubernatorial election continues to attract commendations, with the latest coming from the President General of Akpo Development Association (ADA), Nze Henry C. Dim.

Speaking to information officers in Akpo, Aguata Local Government Area, on April 18, Nze Dim described Soludo’s emergence as APGA’s flagbearer as “the most requisite political adventure lately.” He praised the peaceful and transparent conduct of the APGA primary election, which he said exemplified the party’s guiding principle of brotherhood — “Onye Aghana Nwanne Ya.”

“The manner in which APGA conducted its primaries showcases the party not just as a political platform, but as a brotherhood movement,” he said.

Nze Dim also acknowledged the efforts of other candidates emerging from different political parties, noting that they would contribute to making the November 8, 2025, election a democratic contest. However, he expressed strong confidence in Governor Soludo’s victory, citing his achievements over the past three years.

“Soludo’s performance speaks volumes. I urge other parties not to waste resources. Victory for Soludo and APGA is assured even before 12 noon on election day,” he said.

Describing Governor Soludo as a “divine gift” to Anambra State, Nze Dim highlighted several reforms and projects credited to the governor, including his decision to decline a N200 billion loan approved by the State House of Assembly at the start of his tenure.

“He rejected the loan not because the state didn’t need the money, but because the terms could have jeopardized the state’s future. That’s a leader with posterity in mind,” he added.

The PG further noted Soludo’s inclusive recruitment policies, stating that over 8,000 teachers and 1,000 health workers have been employed under his administration, without discrimination based on ethnicity or background.

“In Anambra under Soludo, job opportunities go to the qualified, not the connected. This is the model we need at the national level to stop our youths from dying in deserts in search of greener pastures,” he said.

According to Nze Dim, the governor’s focus on education and healthcare is evident in policies such as free education from nursery to secondary level, and the provision of free maternal healthcare services even to women from neighboring states.

He also applauded Soludo’s security initiatives, particularly the Agunechemba/Udo Ga-Achi security outfit, and called on Ndi Anambra to fully support the scheme.

Commenting on the security challenges in parts of North Central Nigeria, particularly Plateau and Benue States, he urged Anambra residents to remain vigilant and proactive in matters of security.

“Security is everyone’s responsibility. If you see something suspicious, report it to the appropriate authorities,” he advised.
