Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has extended an invitation to CSS Global Integrated Farms, headquartered in Nasarawa State, to establish a presence in Anambra as part of efforts to strengthen the state’s agricultural sector.
Governor Soludo made the appeal during a recent visit to the expansive CSS farm facility in Nasarawa, at the invitation of his friend and founder of the farm, Prof. John Kennedy Opara. He described the CSS Integrated Farm as a shining example of what can be achieved through a strong commitment to agriculture, noting its relevance to the vision his administration holds for Anambra State.
“The CSS farm is another testimony of how well our society can thrive when we recognize the power of agriculture,” Soludo stated. “Much of what CSS is doing aligns with our administration’s aspirations for Anambra.”
Governor Soludo emphasized that addressing Nigeria’s food crisis requires a strategic focus on agriculture, and reiterated his government’s readiness to provide an enabling environment for agro-based investments. He also revealed that talks are already underway to explore partnerships and investment opportunities with CSS.
With initiatives such as the state’s palm and coconut revolution and its policy on regenerative agriculture, Soludo expressed optimism that Anambra is on track to become a national leader in agricultural transformation.
“Our society gets better if we all farm to feed,” he said. “Soon, Ndi Anambra will lead the way in harnessing agriculture to end endemic poverty and hunger in Nigeria.”
He concluded with a reaffirmation of his administration’s commitment to progress: “Anambra is on the rise, and will continue to win.”
