The Deputy Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Jude Akpua, has disbursed ₦5 million constituency funds to Abba Ward 1 in Njikoka II Constituency.The presentation, which took place at the House of Assembly Complex, Awka, on October 7, 2025, was attended by ward stakeholders and community leaders.Akpua said the fund was part of his “Choose Your Project” initiative designed to promote equitable development across all ten wards of his constituency. He explained that the initiative was aimed at ensuring that every community benefits, regardless of political affiliation or personal ties.He urged the beneficiaries to ensure the funds are used judiciously, adding that his leadership approach is anchored on inclusiveness and transparency.
The lawmaker noted that all wards under Njikoka II had already received projects tailored to their needs, including road works and community support schemes. He promised that more developmental projects would follow in the coming months.Those who received the cheque on behalf of Abba Ward 1 included Comrade Ifeaka Ozumba, Barrister Obiora Nweke, Dr. Roy Chinweuba, Hon. Chika Okogba, Hon. Adaobi Nweke, Comrade Chinedu Obika, Hon. Isaac Udedibia, Mr. Marcel Onyinlo, and Mazi Ikechukwu Agwuike.The event also featured a brief interactive session between Akpua and the ward representatives, aimed at identifying community needs and monitoring project execution.Akpua, who is widely known as “Mr. Project,” said his focus remained on delivering people-oriented and sustainable projects that would improve the lives of his constituents.
