Keystone Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing education in Nigeria through the renovation and equipping of key facilities at St. Jude Secondary School, Ihiala, Anambra State.As part of its Educational Support Initiative, the bank refurbished a block of classrooms, an administrative building, a school hall, and science laboratories aimed at improving the learning environment and enhancing the quality of education in the state.Speaking during the commissioning and handover ceremony, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State commended Keystone Bank for supporting educational development. He noted that the partnership between the private sector and government plays a vital role in advancing education and healthcare — two areas his administration prioritises.Governor Soludo described education as the foundation of a prosperous society, stating, “Without education, no nation can make meaningful progress. Every classroom we build, every child we empower, and every teacher we support brings us closer to a prosperous and enlightened Anambra.”He added that the refurbished facilities represent an investment in the future of Anambra’s youth, and he urged other corporate bodies to emulate Keystone Bank’s example.In her remarks, the Chairman of Keystone Bank, Dr. Ada Chukwudozie, expressed the bank’s continued commitment to fostering educational and social progress across Nigeria. She stated, “True progress begins in the classroom. By renovating these school facilities, we are investing in the minds that will define tomorrow’s Nigeria.”Dr. Chukwudozie explained that the initiative reflects the bank’s belief that the private sector has a key role in nation-building, adding that education should be an environment where dreams and ideas flourish.Also speaking, Mr. Hassan Imam, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Keystone Bank, said the project aligns with the bank’s vision of supporting human capital development through education. “Education is the foundation of a thriving society. By investing in it, we are contributing to national progress and helping shape future leaders,” he said.He urged students to make good use of the new facilities, dream big, and strive for excellence.Present at the event were Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Anambra State Commissioner for Education; Christian Udechukwu, Commissioner for Industry; Rt. Hon.
