The League of Anambra Professionals (LAP) has launched the Future Forward Scholarship Programme, an educational support scheme aimed at assisting brilliant but financially challenged students of Anambra origin to pursue higher education.According to the group, the scholarship is its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility initiative targeted at youths who have successfully passed their JAMB examinations but are unable to further their studies due to financial barriers. LAP said the programme is designed to empower young Ndi Anambra and foster human capital development in the state.Applicants are expected to present proof of indigent status, strong WAEC and JAMB results, a testimonial of good behaviour or evidence of extracurricular engagement, confirmation of indigene status from their traditional ruler or town union president, a one-page personal statement, and a supporting letter from a parent or guardian.President of LAP, Sir Nnamdi Obi, said the initiative is part of the group’s commitment to giving young people access to opportunities.
He explained that investing in the youths of Anambra amounts to investing in the future of the state.“This scholarship is more than financial aid; it is hope for brilliant youths who might otherwise be denied education.
