Heads of state-owned hospitals in Anambra State have lauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his transformative strides in the healthcare sector, describing his reforms as historic and people-centred.The commendation came during a strategic meeting held at the State Hospital Management Board (SHMB) Conference Hall, Enugwu-Ukwu, and chaired by the State Hospital Administrator, Dr Frank Ifeanaeme.Dr Ifeanaeme praised Governor Soludo for introducing free maternal healthcare services across the state, covering antenatal care, delivery, caesarean sections, and laboratory tests in all government hospitals, irrespective of patients’ state of origin.He also commended the administration’s recruitment drive, which has brought hundreds of healthcare professionals into the state civil service, ensuring that both urban and rural communities have access to quality healthcare.“Infrastructure-wise, this government has built new hospitals and is actively renovating existing ones to modern standards,” Dr Ifeanaeme said.The meeting further highlighted the full implementation of the Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS), which has boosted workers’ morale and improved service delivery across the state’s healthcare institutions.Dr Ifeanaeme urged health workers to remain committed to duty, provide timely and compassionate services, and maintain clean hospital environments to prevent infections and enhance patient confidence.Doctors in charge of General Hospitals in Ichi and Umueri also applauded Governor Soludo’s healthcare initiatives, describing him as a visionary leader whose achievements merit a second term in office.The meeting ended with renewed commitment from hospital heads to sustain ongoing reforms and uphold the high standards established by the present administration.
