The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has commended three police officers for their exceptional display of courage, swift response and professionalism in the line of duty.The officers — Inspector Okoma Ewa, Corporal Chawalamoke Godsfavour and Constable Emekwisore Ifeanyi — were praised on Wednesday, December 18, 2025, for their prompt and tactical response to a reported incident that led to the recovery of arms, stolen money and other incriminating items.According to the Anambra State Police Command, the officers’ actions denied suspected armed hoodlums the opportunity to carry out criminal activities, thereby reinforcing public safety and order.CP Orutugu described their conduct as exemplary, noting that their bravery and efficiency reflect the core values of the Nigeria Police Force, including discipline, dedication and service to the public.He assured that acts of outstanding professionalism would not go unnoticed, stressing the command’s commitment to recognising and rewarding officers who distinguish themselves in the discharge of their duties.The Commissioner further reaffirmed the command’s resolve to maintain law and order across the state, while encouraging officers to continue carrying out their responsibilities with integrity, courage and respect for human rights.The commendation was contained in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikenga Tochukwu.
