Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has signed six new bills into law, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to institutional reform and sectoral development.
The signing took place at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia, where the governor was joined by the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, and other senior government officials.
The newly assented laws touch on critical areas such as investment, electricity, security, healthcare, and education. They include provisions for establishing frameworks that will regulate and enhance operations in these sectors.
Governor Soludo commended the legislature for its close collaboration with the executive arm in delivering people-oriented laws. He emphasized that the partnership between both arms of government has been key to the progress made so far.
“These laws are essential tools for deepening reforms and creating the kind of Anambra we all envision — one that is secure, productive, and future-ready,” the governor said. “I appreciate the Assembly for its responsiveness and call for even stronger collaboration moving forward.”
The enactment of the new laws is expected to improve governance and service delivery across the state, reflecting the administration’s resolve to build a liveable and prosperous homeland for Ndi Anambra.
