The people of Orumba South Local Government Area have pledged their unwavering support for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and its candidate, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, ahead of the November 8 governorship election in Anambra State.The declaration was made during a well-attended APGA rally organised in the local government to mobilise support for Governor Soludo and his running mate, Dr Onyekachi Ibezim, as they seek a second term in office.The rally, described as historic, attracted several notable figures from the area, including former Deputy Governor, Hon. Emeka Sibudu; Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Foster Ihejiofor; and former Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba South, Prince Neville Uchendu.Speaking at the event, the Mayor of Orumba South Local Government Area, Hon. Shedrack Azubuike, described Governor Soludo as the most credible and result-driven candidate in the forthcoming election. He commended the governor for his developmental strides, especially the projects executed in Orumba South.Also speaking, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Ihejiofor, urged residents to turn out in large numbers on election day to vote massively for APGA, noting that Anambra remains the stronghold of the party.Governor Soludo, in his address, appreciated the people of Orumba South for their continued support and assured them that he would not take their trust for granted. He called on voters to perform their civic duty on November 8 to secure a better future for the state and the next generation.The highlight of the rally was the presentation of a ₦150 million cheque to the APGA candidate by the Mayor of Orumba South, Hon. Azubuike, as part of the local government’s contribution to the party’s campaign efforts.
