A frontline aspirant for the Idemili North Constituency seat in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Emmanuel Arinzechukwu Idemili, has declared his intention to contest under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).Idemili, also known as Emma Golden, made the declaration after obtaining the party’s Expression of Interest form ahead of the primaries scheduled for May 23, 2026.Describing his ambition as “a covenant with the people,” the aspirant pledged to deliver purposeful and people-oriented representation if elected.“This is not just about me; it is about the future of Idemili North. I am stepping forward with a clear vision rooted in education, healthcare, youth development, and economic empowerment,” he said.He called on party members across the 12 wards of Idemili North to remain united as the primaries approach, stressing that unity remains critical to achieving development goals.“Unity is our greatest strength. I urge all APGA members to rally behind a shared vision that prioritises development over personal ambition.
Together, we can deliver measurable progress to our people,” he added.The Emma Golden Mobilisation Team stated that the campaign would focus on competence, compassion, and character, in line with APGA’s philosophy.A party stakeholder, Ikechukwu Eze, expressed confidence in Idemili’s chances, noting that the aspirant enjoys grassroots support and has a clear development agenda.Also speaking, the acting woman leader of APGA in the area, Uju Omile, urged all aspirants to focus on addressing key issues affecting residents, including road infrastructure, support for small businesses, and security.Political observers say the coming weeks will be decisive as aspirants intensify consultations and mobilisation efforts ahead of the primaries.
