The Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Health has commended the management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital for ongoing reforms aimed at improving healthcare delivery, including the renovation of the hospital’s emergency department, installation of an oxygen reticulation system, digitalisation of medical records, and the introduction of a smart card system.
The commendation was made during an oversight visit to the hospital by members of the Committee led by Honourable Tony Muobike.Addressing the lawmakers, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Maureen Umeakuewulu, said her administration is focused on transforming the institution into a globally competitive healthcare centre through improved service delivery, research advancement, staff development, and digital innovation.
